Chess

I quite like the story of Kasparov and Deep Blue, in which a computer beat a world champion in chess for the first time. The mind versus the machine. Very dramatic.

Kipps

Demon Kingdom

This is inspired by Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian", which is an absolutely fabulous book.

The donor

Vladimir Propp wrote a morphology of folk tales, in which he describes central characters. One of them is the donor, whose appearance is both the threat of doom and the promise of reward. He looks about like this, I think.

Food Fight

If asked what the things are that cause tensions between Austrians and Turkish immigrants, then Austrians will often mention how they have to watch Turkish people fry mutton. I am very impressed how something that peddling can be elevated to such importance. So I just join in with those who make a big deal out of what is not a big deal by providing the visuals.
